Calcite is common all over the world and occupies more than 4% of the total mass of the earth's crust. This mineral can be found in many colours such as red, orange, green, yellow, blue, brown. There are also colourless and white lynx specimens. Calcite appears as a transparent or opaque crystal. The most common are specimens containing admixtures of manganese, iron and magnesium, strontium, barium, cobalt and lead. Calcite is considered to be the stone of balance. It has the ability to strengthen and purify energy.
